SONIC ARCHITECT & SOUND ARTIST
JALI
Jordan "Jali" Hodges is a sonic architect and multidisciplinary sound artist whose practice spans bio-art instruments, bespoke speaker builds, and diasporic sound research.
From Plant Radio—a biofeedback MIDI planter—to 3D-printed percussion rooted in West African calabash forms, the work treats living systems and cultural memory as compositional material. Instruments are built to be played, recorded, and lived with.
Based in Barcelona, Jali designs objects and software that blur the line between studio tool, sculpture, and research apparatus. A background building enterprise systems at IBM; these days he'd rather chase the moment where technology starts to feel musical.
